Dear

I’m writing today as your constituent to urge you to vote for a strong Build Back Better Act.

The bill has passed the House. Now it’s up to the Senate to pass this historic measure to fight climate change, put millions to work, clean up our communities, and open the door to a healthy and fair future for all.

The need for the bold measures in the Act couldn’t be clearer. Just this summer, we’ve watched the climate crisis transform our country right in front of our eyes everywhere from lethal heatwaves and drought in the West to Hurricane Ida destroying homes and leaving millions without power all the way from New Orleans to New England.

But this isn’t just about climate – it’s also about justice. Because it’s more apparent than ever that frontline communities and communities of color are bearing the worst of these impacts and doing so amidst a global pandemic.

Passing a strong Build Back Better Act is the single most important step we can take to quickly cut the fossil fuel emissions creating this crisis and stop global warming in time to prevent catastrophic and irreversible changes.

It’s also the single most important step we can take to accelerate a just transition to clean energy that creates millions of jobs and cleans up the fossil fuel pollution poisoning our communities.

This is our moment to face these challenges head-on and act while we still have time. It may be the last chance we get.

That’s why, as your constituent, I’m calling on you to take action on this crisis and vote for the strong Build Back Better Act. We need to address the climate crisis and create a future of opportunity for all.

Sincerely,
